03-05-28 NEW RELEASE AND GIG AT "GAMLA"

The Launderettes released the EP "Take Me to the Race" May 26th. They celebrate the release May 28th playing their hearts out at "Gamla".

They will also show their first video presenting the EP title track. The video was filmed using a Super 8 camera, shot at the wrong side of the river (according to the Lonely Planet Travel Guide), where the breeze is always chilly, and the sun never shines. But this Sunday afternoon the sounds of The Launderettes made the dusty streets sparkle.

The Launderettes have a new line up since the previous album. Last autumn Jimmy the Greek made the difficult decision to leave the band and honour la Familia. Candy Cadillac seized the opportunity to fulfil her dream of becoming the lead guitarist. Vicky Vicious (a.k.a. Siri Eriksen from the Bronco Busters) joined in on bass guitar, and soon proved to be a true Launderette.
